I know I asked this before, but any recall Burrito Bago? A Winnebago converted to to a roach-coach selling only burrito's? I only saw them at 2 venues---RFK & Buckeye Lake in Summer '93. HUGE, fat f'n burritos for only $4.00. The grilled cheese were kinda hard to screw up, so those were alomost always FAB!

This going to sound so absolutely middle class decadent suburbian mainstream that I fear I'll never live down admitting to it, BUT the meals I recall after DEAD shows were ones at...yes, Jack in the Box. Jumbo Jack and two Super Tacos. All for about $5. Helped with "recovery" and with the lack of food for often 10-15 hrs...sitting in line around 2 am with 4-5 folks crammed in the car...driving a bit further to go to the one an old HS buddy worked at where we could get a regular sized bag (as it what they put the food in usually) full of onion rings.

Not healthy, but that's what I remember enjoying...

What you and TT allude to really surprised me as a kid when I first traveled through the southwest and eventually into the midwest: the great variation in fast food places available locally. Somehow I just figured everybody in the US had the same thing (maybe true in the World today for the big ones--in the 90s you could find KFC, McDon, and BK across Australia for crying out loud), but found out differently as we drove around.

Back then (70s), I just recall that Jack was one of the first to stay open really late, so it worked out after shows if you couldn't find a Denny's or some such...

I think you were the first person I sent disks to--was that last January? We are getting old.

They used to be in NJ. I remember going through the drive through and talking to the clown head... I had a bendy official jack in the box from toy 1975 until my asshole dog chewed it up a year or so ago... bring back jack in the box....

WWD,

I believe I owe you a package? Can't remember if I sent it or not, but I don't think I did. Anyways, I tried to e-mail you a couple of days ago and the e-mail failed. If you still have my e-mail address let me know if I sent it or not and also send me your address and I'll get this in the mail to you. It's some CSNY, doors, Lou Reed and some Jerry Band. If you don't still have my e-mail let me know with a response here and I'll post it for you.

Ya know I thought Jack in the box went out of business in the 70's. They all turned to Taco Bell or somethign in northeast... then one day a few years ago I saw a credit report with employer as Jack in the box, called the number and they answered and I started freaking out. Kind of like when I saw a sign at a fair in florida that said "panzaratti" and started freaking out, the guy looked at me and said what? I pointed to the sign and he said he bought the trailer in NJ and didn't know anything about it. It's a pizza turnover, kinda like a strombolo but with the sauce mixed in already, looks like a fried football, found one in atlantic city about 7 years ago but not seen any, they were available in philly pizza places after shows if you knew where to find them in little italy.

I know exactly what you are talking about: In CA they had these things called "gondalinis" (sp?) which were close to what you describe, a sorta calzone kind of turnover, but much better depending on what was in them...

Absolutely amazing.

In all honesty, regardless of what kind of humanitarian you are the spinners sucked, and deserved every hot dog, and drop kick they received. Joseph was an absolute douche bag, and anyone stupid enough to blindly follow him deserves to have had their trust funds sucked dry. The spinners holier than thou attitude, was rivaled only by their smell, and penchant for tofu.

Simply the best when you need those extra calorie's to elbow spinning cultists in the face that were not hip to your know reputation of stomping mudholes in those caucasian love puppets of the church of circular momentum, once again proving beyond a doubt that not only this forum, but every show was ruled by Tito.

Cold, clammy hot Philadelphia pretzels.
Warm Bud in a can during 105 degree heat wave on shrooms.
But under no circumstances, grilled cheese with female leg hair.

Tito was a beef byproduct miracle worker, like dolphins at seaworld the spinners would snatch thrown beef treats and delivered elbow sandwiches.
